Indonesia's Susilo mourns passing of Tun Abdullah: 'He was a friend and a leader of integrity'
Former Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) paid tribute to Malaysia’s fifth prime minister, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who passed away on April 14, 2025. SBY remembered Abdullah as a true friend and a leader of unwavering integrity, committed to strengthening Indonesia-Malaysia ties. Their close working relationship was marked by trust and collaboration, including joint efforts during the 2006 Middle East conflict and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit. Abdullah was laid to rest with full state honours in Kuala Lumpur.
